For the Love of Books & Community.

I’ve been in love with books for as long as I can remember. I went from racing through reading challenges as a child to becoming an English teacher, writer, and entrepreneur, and stories have always been a huge part of my life. From freelancing to becoming a published author and magazine editor, I've explored every opportunity words have created for me. And over time, that love grew into something deeper—a desire to create a space where people could experience the power of words, community, and faith all in one place. Now, that dream has become opening Good Taste Bookstore & More.

Good Taste Bookstore & More will be a faith-based bookstore in Burleson, Texas, opening July 2026. While this idea blossomed from my love for books, Good Taste is much more than that. It’s a space for the people. A place where you can come read a good book, co-work, grab a coffee or a quick bite, and feel at home. A place where conversations happen, ideas are sparked, and community is built. We’re starting lean with newsworthy books, drip coffee, prepackaged drinks and snacks, and cozy, welcoming spaces—but the vision is so much bigger.

What makes this even more special is that I’m not building it alone. My husband and I are building this together (literally and figuratively)! From securing to planning and designing the space, to dreaming about the impact it will have, this has become something we’re pouring into side by side. It’s a labor of love, faith, and commitment to the community we’re called to serve.

We’re creating a space that will host book signings, book talks, Bible studies, writing nights, meetups, life groups, and gatherings that bring people together in meaningful ways. As a Christian business, this is about creating something lasting—not just to fulfill a dream of mine, but to glorify God and pour into His kingdom.
